
The goal of this project was to design an elegant fine-dining website for Azarias that visually communicates sophistication while remaining clear and easy to navigate. The main challenge was balancing a luxurious aesthetic with usability and ensuring the site felt refined without becoming overly decorative or difficult to use. My strategy focused on restraint and intention by using a serif typeface to convey timeless elegance, sharp rectangular buttons to introduce structure and confidence, and curated imagery to highlight the quality and presentation of the cuisine. Every design decision was made to reinforce a premium experience while guiding users naturally through the site.
The process began with research into high-end restaurant branding and digital experiences, followed by moodboarding and typographic exploration to define the visual direction. I then developed layouts with strong hierarchy, generous spacing, and minimal distractions to let the content and imagery speak for themselves. Through refinement and consistency checks, I ensured the design felt cohesive and polished across all pages. The result is a visually sophisticated website that aligns closely with Azarias’ identity and elevates its online presence. This project reinforced the importance of strategic simplicity and showed that thoughtful design choices can communicate luxury more effectively than excess.
